“ADVENTURES OF CURIOUS GEORGE” COME TO LIFE IN 30,000 SQUARE FOOT INTERACTIVE PLAY ZONE AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD, THE ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL OF L.A.
Universal City, California – With the opening of the new “Adventures of Curious George” at Universal Studios Hollywood, a voyage through space, a wild romp in the jungle and a fun-filled trip to the zoo are among the many immersive activities swinging to life within the 30,000 square foot play zone at The Entertainment Capital of L.A.
The new attraction is divided into a trio of adventures based on entertaining antics from the timeless children’s book series. With vivid colors and interactive amusements, “Curious George Flies to Space,” “Curious George Goes to the Jungle” and “Curious George Visits the Zoo” are all brought to life.
Thousands of gallons of splashing water will keep guests cool during their trip into space as the lovable monkey can be seen waving from atop his giant rocket-ship to his new friends below. As the countdown for the spaceship reaches zero, everyone in the blast-off zone will risk becoming drenched as water cannons and tipping buckets dispensing 12,000 gallons of H2O per hour – enough to fill a 20’X30’ swimming pool - fuel the non-stop wet and wild action. A dry-zone, located near the rocket ship, will provide shelter for the less adventurous.
The younger set can experience the thrill of the jungle as they--and children of all ages--venture into the popular “Curious George Goes to the Jungle” tale to uncover 25,000 brightly colored balls blasting from an erupting “volcano.” Activities will include playful “target practice,” allowing guests to take aim at “The Man in the Yellow Hat” – a recurring character in the “Curious George” books. Balls will be magically suspended mid-air and deep, dark caves will beckon to be explored. The jungle area will keep the fun rolling along. “Curious George Visits the Zoo” jumps to life with a series of giant animated cutouts of lovable zoo animals and a brilliantly painted mural surrounding slides and other popular playground staples.
